Art 1- Competency 2

    One of the final projects we did in Art 1. Different still lives were set up for us to draw and later add value to. Started with what angle and area you wanted to draw, then moved on to sketching it down, next was to draw it on bristol paper with the organizational lines, or guide lines, and finally adding the shadows and highlights.

   A simple still life that was for my Art 1 class

MC- Binoculars Model

Model a pair of binoculars for one of my still life pieces for the Milestone project. Turned out better than I had expected them to. There were some tricky moments, but I managed to figure it all out in time. Probably the fastest, well put together model I have made for the Milestone project.

MC- Magnifying Glass Model

Another piece of the still life: a magnifying glass with a really fun to make handle.

Art 2- Figure Drawings

The small details, like the shadows that shape the muscles,

The slight bends and curves that define the arms, the legs, and the figure,

It's so fun to draw.

We learned all these techniques I had never heard about, being that I had never done actual figure drawing before.

Bean shape, arrow method, "I" method, line of action, and circle techniques.

Art 2- Feet Drawings

Feet are even weirder than hands, but just like hands, feet have basic shapes and techniques used to draw them. Circles and triangles and tubes are all they are if you think about it. 

But it's the finer details that make them feet, that bring them alive, so to speak.

Art 2- Hand Drawings

First ever actual hand drawings!
I never drew the hands for any of my people drawings before, always drew it to where they would be in pockets or behind the person's back.
Thought they were the most difficult thing in the world to draw, but once I learned the techniques
and basic shapes for them, they were so easy to draw! I actually like drawing them.
